The student residences on the NUI Maynooth campus consist of eight blocks of 5 bed apartments, giving the University 780 bed spaces. The project was split into two phases, commencing in December 2001 and completing in November 2002.
This was a fast track project built using pre-cast concrete walls which were manufactured in Germany. All of the electrical services were pre-installed in the concrete walls making co-ordination with the manufacturers in Germany a key element of this project.
